ਨਾ ਮੈਲਾ ਨਾ ਧੁੰਧਲਾ ਨਾ ਭਗਵਾ ਨਾ ਕਚੁ ॥

Naa Mailaa Naa Dhhundhhalaa Naa Bhagavaa Naa Kach ||

Neither dirty, nor dull, nor saffron, nor any color that fades.

nā mailā nā dhundhlā nā bhagvā nā kachu ॥

ਨਾਂ ਗੰਦਾ, ਨਾਂ ਗਹਿਰਾ, ਨਾਂ ਗੇਰੂ-ਰੰਗਾ, ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਕੂੜ੍ਹਾ ਰੰਗ।

Neither dirty, nor dull, nor ochre nor any other false colour;

ਨਾਨਕ ਲਾਲੋ ਲਾਲੁ ਹੈ ਸਚੈ ਰਤਾ ਸਚੁ ॥੧॥

Naanak Laalo Laal Hai Sachai Rathaa Sach ||1||

O Nanak, crimson - deep crimson is the color of one who is imbued with the True Lord. ||1||

ਨਾਨਕ ਪੂਰਨ ਲਾਲ ਹੈ ਸੱਚਾ ਰੰਗ ਉਸ ਦਾ, ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

Nanak, perfectly red is the true colour of him who is imbued with the True Lord.
